About
Paragenealogy is the study of history related to paranormal places and events.
This research can involve anything from the personal history of a ghost, to the Native American legends associated with Area 51.
Although psychic impressions and folklore provide clues, the focus of paragenealogy is documented history.
Paragenealogists use traditional genealogical resources including:
- census records
- deeds
- probate records
- vital records
- historic diaries
- vintage and antique photos
- local, documented folklore
- local histories
Paragenealogy: The How-To Guide is planned for publication in mid-to-late 2010. This illustrated book will be available through this website and at Amazon.com.
Fiona Broome is the world’s foremost paragenealogist, and the author of all articles at this website. (Ms. Broome is also the founder of Hollow Hill, one of the Internet’s oldest and largest ghost-related websites.)

Fiona also specializes in paranormal patterns such as her March 2009 discovery of the Judges Line of Salem, Massachusetts.
